The Suriname Trade Industry Association (STIA) This association was founded on March 28, 1950. Its basic principle is to advocate free enterprise in production and services, whereby everyone within the limits of public interest, has the right to develop activities to the best of his or her ability. STIA is a cooperation of individuals pursuing a business in Suriname. The association’s objective is to strongly promote the interest of its members and the economic and social welfare of society. STIA membership is open to every person, partnership or legal entity pursuing a business in Suriname.

The Association of Suriname Manufacturers (ASM) This Association was established on September 25, 1980. The main objective of this body is to take care of the interests of the national production sector in general and the Surinamese manufacturer in particular, in order to promote: “MADE IN SURINAME”. The membership concerns are divided into three categories namely common members, extraordinary members and honorary members.
